His Life Remembered

Carl Scharwath and Jeanette Skirvin

What is the significance of this work to you?

We wanted to bring attention to the homeless and give them respect. Everyone has a history that deserves telling without being judged. I think we can learn from everyone if only we take the time.

What is the significance of the form you chose for this work?

Jeanette is so very talented. Her video and interpretation of my poetry presents a more powerful presentation. What is amazing is how perfectly she interprets my thoughts to video.

What was your process for creating this work?

Actually it is a very simple process. I select one of my poems that might present itself better to interpretation in a video. I give free rein to Jeannette to complete our creation with her video production and amazing reading.
